When you take a class at potekglass, we've thought through every detail.  With 17 years of glass working experience and 14 years of teaching experience, Malcom has techniques to ensure any student will succeed.   We provide all the tools necessary for your glass projects, and all of your glass costs are included in the cost of the workshop.  No "kit fees" or "plus glass" costs.  Our students finish with more technical knowledge than other classes out there, giving them the ability to continue working glass on their own.

Oct 23-25, 2009, 10am-5pm

A beginners' intensive workshop, we've designed this course to quickly build basic skills in front of the torch.  Students learn about safety and equipment, then begin acquiring techniques in glass shaping, surface design, sculptural work, and pulling cane.  When students have completed this course, they will have the knowledge necessary to continue glassworking on their own as well as skills for intermediate and master classes.

This three hour session is designed for anyone who is curious about working with hot glass.  Students work in front of a tabletop torch, learning safety and basic equipment before trying a number of simple glass-shaping and decorating techniques. You'll come away with a better understanding of glasswork, as well as a handful of beads made by you.

We've decided to leave this class date flexible.  Gather your own group of companions for the class, or give us a call and let us know you're interested in a session.  We'll try to pick a time and date that works best for everyone!
