Hi all, I'm Malcom Potek. Thanks for considering classes at Potekglass.

For all the folks that are new to the site, all the classes can be registered by clicking on the "Register" button next to the class description and follow the prompts. The Try-it classes can be found on the home page and at the bottom of the Try-iT! page.

Cant find a class to fit your schedule - Classes are updated once a week - check back and there will be more sessions available.

Open Torch: Every Second Saturday.

From 1:30 - 5:30

Cost $15

The second Saturday of every month potekglass offers open torch for folks who like to meet greet and work the flame. Come for an hour come for four. Here is a chance to show of your stuff, get inexpensve practice, or just commune with your fellow craftsmen and women.

Torchers need only bring glass: torch, and basic tool set provided.
Glass, mandrels and bead release may be purchased on site.

Please R.S.V.P. for any given month to assure your seat.

Certification required. No experience? Get experienced with a "Try-it!"

Already have experience - contact to reserve a seat.

Equipment Rental

Torch Rental: includes oxygen/propane, annealer and basic tool set (tool set is pick, tweezers, paddle, didinium glasses).

Minor Burner or Mini CC $15/hr

CC Burner, Starfire, or Arnold $25/hr

Coldwork Shop: 23" Steinert laptop grinder-diamond pads, diamond chop saw/ diamond long reach saw - 12'/ ring saw/ wet-feed drill. $25/hr

Kiln Rental: Includes kiln shelves / primer. Digital controller.

Thin fire may be purched at $5 per 20.5" x 20.5" sheet.
Additional refractories available upon request.
Prices are based on firing schedules up to 48 hours in length.
Kiln projects need to be charge ready - Space available for layout is priced at $30/hr or $150/day.
Small Kiln (21 x 21)" interior = $75
Large Kiln (33 x 65)" interior = $150

Private Lessons:$85 /hr + materials for larger projects.

From designing and producing your own tiles and lighting in the kiln to techniques on the torch Malcom has experience that only a select few can match.
