Potekglass: SGAA Professional Member
Recognition of our craft. A commitment to its future.
Potekglass is proud to be a Professional Member of the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA). This recognition reflects more than our connection to a professional organization. It represents peer-reviewed standards of technical skill, ethics, and professionalism, alongside a commitment to the stained glass community.
For us, membership is both an acknowledgment and a responsibility: to approach our work with care, keep learning, and contribute to the future of the craft.
What is the SGAA?
The Stained Glass Association of America brings together professionals connected by a shared dedication to stained glass. Through professional recognition, mentorship, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge, the association supports the people who practice the craft and helps strengthen standards across the field.
It is a community built around an idea we value at Potekglass: the craft grows stronger when knowledge and experience are shared.
What does Professional Membership mean?
SGAA Professional Membership is a reviewed professional designation, not simply a membership purchased by paying dues. It recognizes that a studio or practice has met the association’s peer-reviewed standards for technical skill, ethics, and professionalism.
The SGAA describes Professional Membership as the foundation of its advanced credentialing pathway. It is a distinct recognition in its own right, reflecting both professional achievement and an ongoing commitment to raising standards.
Why it matters when you work with Potekglass
Choosing a glass studio means placing trust in the people behind the work. Our Professional Membership offers another point of reference as you get to know Potekglass: recognition from others within the stained glass profession.
It also connects our studio to a wider community of practitioners, mentors, and collaborators. That exchange of experience supports continued learning and thoughtful approaches to the work.
Whether you come to Potekglass with a project, a piece in need of care, or a desire to learn, we want you to understand the values behind our practice: skilled craftsmanship, professional responsibility, and respect for the material.
A commitment beyond our studio
Stained glass is a living craft. Its future depends not only on the work we make today, but also on the knowledge we preserve and share.
We see Professional Membership as an opportunity to participate in that future: to learn from our peers, contribute our experience, and help sustain a community that values craftsmanship and collaboration.
We’re proud to bring that commitment to our work at Potekglass.
