Embark on an unforgettable field trip experience with us. Explore the captivating world of glass artistry alongside local artist Malcom Potek, boasting over 30 years of expertise. Our studio offers engaging programs for all ages, covering craftsmanship, geometry, and focus. From educational endeavors to architectural elements and fine art exploration, Potekglass Studio promises an enriching journey for every visitor.
Tier 1 includes:
Approx. 1.5-2 hours
- Hot glass demonstrations
- Torch practice for each participant
- Studio tour
- Participants receive a small glass "gem" keepsake
Cost:
- 1-25 participants: $350 flat fee
Tier 2 includes:
Approx. 2-2.5 hours
- Includes everything in Tier 1, plus:
- Additional glass fusing demonstration
- Students create fused glass cabochons
- Kiln setting for student projects
Cost:
- 1-12 participants: $350 flat fee + $14/student
- 13-25 participants: $350 flat fee + $13/student
Tier 3 includes:
Approx. 3 hours
- In-depth glass skills class where students create a 5"x5" catchall dish
- Introduction to glass cutting, pattern making, and safety
Cost:
- 1-12 participants = $600 flat fee
- 13+ participants = $47.50 per student (no flat fee)
Tier 4 includes:
Approx. 3 hours
- Combines torchwork and kiln fusion
- Participants create a 5"x5" catchall dish with added torch-made embellishments
Cost: Tier 3 pricing + $25 per student
- 1-12 participants = $600 flat fee + $25/student
- 13+ participants = $72.5/student (no flat fee)
