St. Catherine’s Rose Window, Artist Feature, New Classes & Glass Restock

We are excited to showcase a stunning stained-glass reproduction created exclusively for St. Catherine University. These hand-crafted stained-glass pieces represent the Rose Window of the Our Lady of Victory Chapel. The Rose Window, with its intricate, circular design, holds historical significance tied to the French Gothic cathedrals and St. Catherine of Alexandria, the patron saint of the university. These beautiful glass pieces are a testament to the skill and dedication of our artists, transforming historic designs into modern masterpieces.

Artist in the World: Indre McCraw
This month, we are thrilled to highlight Indre McCraw, a renowned Master Glass Painter and Educator with nearly 30 years of experience in the stained-glass field. Her innovative work and dedication to the craft have left a lasting impact at Judson Studios in Los Angeles. Indre’s artistic journey reflects a blend of traditional techniques and modern innovations, making her a celebrated figure in both the restoration of stained glass and contemporary glass art. Get ready for an exciting lineup of classes at Potekglass this season, whether you're a beginner or a more experienced artist.

Glass Menagerie - Tortoise!

• Date: February 29, 2024 | Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Price: $95 | Member Price: $69
• Details: In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn to create a glass turtle using Borosilicate color and clear rod. It’s a fantastic introduction to sculpting on the torch while learning fundamental techniques such as seals, punctures, and heating out tool marks.

Stained Glass Panel Lamps

• Dates: April 6, 27, May 4, 11 | Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Price: $115 | Member Price: $103.50
• Details: This intermediate-level class will teach you to create a multi-sided stained glass panel lamp using the copper-foil method. You’ll gain valuable insight into lamp shade design and techniques for successful shade construction. Be sure to bring two copies of your pattern to class, and come prepared to purchase supplies during the course.

Kiln Try-iT! Glass Class

• Date: January 6, 2024 | Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Price: $95 | Member Price: $69
• Details: This hands-on kiln class is the perfect introduction to fusing and slumping glass. You’ll learn to cut glass, make frit, and create a beautiful 5” x 5” glass tile that will slump into a catch-all dish. Great for beginners!
