Stained Glass Supplies, Classes, and More!

Exciting News: Stained Glass Supplies Now Available!
Starting May 1st, Potekglass will be offering stained glass supplies, materials, and classes! We’re thrilled to welcome Mark Trease to the team, bringing 15 years of expertise in stained glass construction, repair, and teaching. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, we’re here to help you with all your stained glass needs.

As part of this new venture, we're also building our glass library. If you’re a stained glass artist, let us know your favorite glass, and we’ll include it!

New Shop Hours Starting May 1st

• Sunday/Monday: Closed
• Tuesday/Wednesday: 10 AM – 5 PM
• Thursday: 10 AM – 8 PM
• Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM
• Saturday: 10 AM – 3 PM

Art in the Shop: Time Out for a Shout Out!
We want to give a heartfelt shoutout and congratulations to Zoi and John on their retirement. After many years of creating and helping others do the same, we wish them the very best as they enter this new chapter in their artistic lives. We’re excited to continue their legacy and expand into the stained glass world.

Artist in the World: Marc Chagall’s Peace Window
Chagall’s "The Window of Peace and Human Happiness" is a stunning stained glass memorial at the United Nations, commemorating those lost in a tragic plane crash. Chagall’s use of blue tones and religious symbols reflects his unique style and dedication to the themes of peace and unity.

Upcoming Classes at Potekglass

• Marbles 101 (May 12, 19, 26 & June 2)
  6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (4 sessions)
  Learn the ins and outs of making perfect marbles! This course will teach you the vortex, implosions, twists, and raking techniques to create beautiful glass marbles.
  Cost: $325 (non-members), $295.50 (members)

• Basics in Boron (May 14 & 28)
  10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  A beginner-friendly class exploring the sculptural potential of Borosilicate glass. Learn to make a paperweight, icicle ornament, and experiment with glassblowing.
  Cost: $95 (non-members), $69 (members)

• Free Glass Friday – Torch & Kiln (May 6, 13, 20, 27)
  11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  Work on your glass projects with free glass and access to our equipment. Available for both kiln and torch sessions.
  Cost: $35 (non-members), $25 (members)

• Beginning Stained Glass
  Learn the basics of stained glass, from pattern preparation and cutting to soldering and framing. No experience necessary! Stop in before the first class to pick out your pattern and materials.

ART-A-WHIRL 2022
Join us for the 27th Annual Art-A-Whirl from May 20–22! Potekglass will be open throughout the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, visit our shop from 10 AM – 2 PM to make a fused glass magnet for just $15.
