Art in the World: Albinus Eskus – Master of Stained Glass
Albinus Eskus was a highly celebrated stained glass artist, known for his impactful works in churches and commercial institutions across the United States and Europe. His contributions to stained glass artistry earned him numerous accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Stained Glass Association of America in 2000. Albinus was not only a master in stained glass but also a talented watercolorist, draftsman, and teacher. His 1980 book The Art of Painting on Glass remains an essential resource for artists today. Eskus’ work continues to inspire generations of glass artists.
